Naisho no Tsubomi is a perfect example of the random type of thing Sentai/Section23 occasionally grabs and will continue to release on DVD.

Kissdum R looks and sounds fun, will check out depending on the price. Maybe it will be put up on HIDIVE?
Also just checked the opening on youtube. That song is damn catchy.

As mentioned in the article, Kiss Dum was previously licensed, but BV USA never put it out because that company technically licensed the original TV version, which has never seen a home video release in Japan. It's an infamous story where the original creator of the story (not to mention director) had a mental breakdown after Episode 1 was finishing up, and since he had never shared his plans for the story with anyone else involved, the remaining staff (& replacement director) essentially had to make up their own story as it went on. It also didn't help that Kiss Dum was, for all intents & purposes, primarily just a testing ground for Satelight so that the staff could prepare for working on Macross Frontier.
The "R" version of Kiss Dum apparently fixed what it could of the story (one entire episode early on was even removed & deemed a non-canon OVA episode), and it wasn't even given a home video release in Japan until it received enough pre-orders. Therefore, I'm amazed that this anime is even being given a second chance, but I'll definitely be grabbing this.
What's most bizarre, though, is that Maiden Japan is the entity putting it out. As the name punningly indicates, MJ's titles all have female leads, and while Kiss Dum does has a female lead, I'm pretty sure Aiba, the male lead, is technically the "main character", but I won't argue semantics if it means that we're getting this show.

Perhaps "good" is beyond what I should be expecting, but uhhh, is Kissdum interesting? The story behind it certainly is, but I never did look into if the second crack at it turned out anything worth trying 26 episodes.

I thought Maiden Japan was just a pun. Like, Made In Japan is pronounced exactly the same.
