Judging from the silhouettes, are they doing a boy-girl pairing for each mech?

By the way, you're listing the wrong credits for Naotaka Hayashi in the article, even though you link to the correct person in the encyclopedia. You're referencing the animator/director with the same name instead.
I was wondering why some animator would be in charge of series composition, and then I realized that this is the Naotaka Hayashi who was the original writer of Steins;Gate, and that made way more sense. Also gives me even more of a reason to be excited for this. |

It certainly looks that way. But, I only believe that as they have done the boy-girl split when showing all the characters. There's nothing to suggest there can't be boy-boy and girl-girl pairings. I do hope they mix it up. |

After the suck filled failboat that is Voltron Legendary Defender and its insane fujioshi fanbase that makes the Steven Universe fandom look pleasant in comparison, I am eagerly awaiting Trigger and A-1 to do something good with super robots.

Or it could be Kiznaiver all over again, who knows, but I really didn't understand why would someone complain about a Netflix/Dreamworks show on a article like this, it was weird. |

This looks like it will be mix romance / action Giant Robot Show. Star Driver meets Romancing the Giant Robo.
I hope it's good script, it hate to see something fall into something very predictable. |
