As much as an anime adaptation would be good, I can't help but feel that this anime adaptation will be hated by a lot of people. The characters, especially the cop , will not be liked at all. Maybe they will tone it down for the anime but, it's honestly very mature. I don't have a problem with it but other people will.

I remember buying the first volume not knowing what it was and then reading it on the way home and thinking "well... that was a waste of money"

Well, hopefully it is an anime announcement. Also, hopefully again, they will not sanitize it for western audiences. Unlike Made in Abyss, this show is not made up of 10 year olds.
Hopefully, if there is an anime season, Seven Seas will finally release the manga digitally.

Too bad manga turned complete trash imo when they stated digging into this witches stuff and messing up with various characters and realities. It turned really bad and boring. I really enjoyed first 4 or so volumes but next...Meh. I don't even know will I complete it or just drop

Yeah, I kinda feel like the manga went off the rails, but I'd still be interested in an anime adaptation. If that's what this is it would mark a rare occasion for me where I've read the source material first.

Exact same thoughts. I've pretty much polar opposite opinions on this authors manga, since I look forward to every new volume of Magical Girl Site making it's way to my local manga store, but couldn't even begin to tell you what Magical Girl Apocalypse was about.
