Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief: Shrinking Print Runs Made Up by Rising Digital Demand

Cool to know that including both digital+physical the sub numbers are actually increasing. Maybe the doom and gloom some people had will slow down. Lol I'm joking, I know it won't.

Also I dont remember if it was an offcial statement, but I'm sure that I read somewhere that individual series from jump manga were actually higher then in past years?

SJ might become a digital only magazine in about 5 years. Digital is a convenience for everything but video games where is not quite there yet (other than Steam but it's not perfect either) especially in the filesize category, game developers needs some next generation compression software and ethics (non-priced digital titles often have issues with maintaining good in app purchase practices).

With the only exception of One Piece, they aren't. I would say that in overall, averaged, they are the same, but if you count the time of peaks:
. Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, Yu Yu Hakusho Era
. One Piece, Naruto, Bleach Era

Individual series from Jump were selling more than Individual series right now.

Must have heard about average sales then. Because yea now that I think about it the OP/Naruto/Bleach peak must have been pretty high.

Probably you heard about the appearance of mega popular series during the Beginning of Golden Era of WSJ, where it appeared a lot of mega popular series. Counting that time there was an increase in individual series(it was one peak), than that decreased again, and then the One Piece, Naruto, Bleach era started(another peak).

Normally though, a minimal popular series of weekly shonen Jump series sells around 100-200k, then you have the ones in the middle that do 300-500k and then you have the mega popular that go from 700k-1.2M. And then you have the most rare ocurrence ever One Piece selling 2.5-3.3M a volume(now is closer to 2.8M I believe).
Of course you also have the niche series(and newbies), that normally don't endure that long in the magazine and sell less than 100k.

800k - Haikyuu!!

500k - My Hero Academia
400k - Shokugeki no Soma
400k - Boruto
400k - Gintama

200k - Black Clover
100k - Promised Neverland(increasing right now, probably reaching the 200k soon)
100k - PSI Kusuo Sainan
100k - RoboxLazerbeam(New, but popular author)
100k - Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
~100k - Kimetsu no Yaiba

50k - Isobe Isobee Monogatari
30k - Hinomaru Zumou
30k - Spring Weapon No.01
