I wonder what the length of each will be. Also that 4DX screening would be a blast with this series.

Regular length episodes which was the usual format for battles in the series. The only two battles that were short were the ones Oarai lost to St Glorianas. Going by the movie, each battle will be with the "total annihilation" rules so there should be a lot more "anyone could die!" moments like the movie and I'd expect that some of those "transfers" will stick... in particular the new schools introduced for the movie. We've got to see more of those Finnish girls, they never got their apology...

The rest will either just rotate in and out or team up as enemies. They've designed 100 plus unique characters, there's got to be a point where the production design team calls it quit. "Pig tails, glasses... short hair... blonde? Did we do that one already?"

I would still expect a second full length movie that's Total Battle Royale; 8 Teams with 8 tanks and go... There could be a plot too but it's probably unnecessary.

I'm hoping for at least Anzio-length (~40 min) episodes myself, but would absolutely love something like Kara no Kyoukai-length (50-70 min) episodes.

Would seem pretty silly to do a theatrical release for a standard 25 minute episode.

If you think that's silly, all three episodes for the Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow OVA got their own separate theatrical release, and they weren't much more than 30 minutes long. Girls und Panzer's six-part finale will also have three screenings - but each one will combine two standard length episodes, which is about 45 minutes long.

Only the 4DX/immersive screenings will have two combined episodes. The normal theatrical release will just be a single episode.
