Axe-San strikes again, not at all surprising considering its very low rankings. Demon Prince Poros most likely getting hit next week since it was right down there with it.

I'd be lying if I said I was surprised, but that's mostly because I had no idea what was going on in the first 3 chapters.
Of course the one I liked would be going down with it. Sigh. |

^IIRC they announced only two new series will be starting in the coming weeks, and since Samon also got the axe, this is likely the last cancellation we'll see this trimester. It's still possible that manga you like survives for another quarter.

Meh this manga had no potential anyways, hopefully the mangaka will learn from this failure and produce something better down the road.

Hunter x hunter is starting again and they can do more one shots after it goes on hiatus again. |

^ Most of the time they just throw things to the wall and see what sticks. Not many can work the rigorous weekly schedule so it's worth giving these people a few tries before they end up going to a less popular magazine or going the monthly route, or just giving up altogether

Poro is up next and Marie after that.

I knew this day was coming, but I'm surprised it took as long as it did. It's been doing poorly in the rankings for a while now.
Hopefully the signs gave the mangaka enough time to wrap up the story in a satisfying way. I mean I'm sure it's still rushed to some degree, but knowing ahead of time can let a mangaka do more. |

Why would 4 of them be axed, Dr.Stone and We Can't Study(Or We Never Learn depending on the translation) are both very popular. The other 4 are U19, Poro, Hungry Marie and RobotXLaserbeam. The Latter two by former JUMP artists so they likely get extra time and I think Robot is doing okay. Personally the 4 that are still "Unsafe" the only one I even found interesting was U19, Poro is all over the place and had no scanlators so I doubt that helped it get popular on the internet. Marie is just...boring and Sports manga have never done it for me and there's only so much you can do about a guy who's just good at Golf and has zero personality. |

As long as Dr Stone and Robot x Laserbeam stay for a while I'm fine

Yeah and if he does and the manga still gets cancelled who'll take the fall for that? |

Try again, I guess? This is only Kimura's first serialisation, right? The article only lists one shots in terms of his other work. Kohei Horikoshi got axed twice before My Hero Academia became a hit. |

Why bother to get potentially burned again and that's only if you don't drive yourself to an early grave from the stress. |
