I am very pleased that one of my all time favorites in Sound of the Sky will finally be released on BD; thanks TRSI/Nozomi.
I wonder if Aria and Maria Watches Over Us are next.

I, too, hope Aria comes next. Back when they first initially announced their venture into BDs, they replied to my request saying that the JP Aria Blu-ray assets were still "too new" for them to look into licensing. I hope that's changed since then.

Thirding that thought. Sound of the Sky is one of my all-time favorites, as well. I don't even mind buying it again (which is not something that's true of most series that have a BD released some time after a DVD version is out).

While it takes very few chances in its premise or themes, Sound of the Sky is certainly lavish enough to justify a higher-definition release. Doubtlessly there will still be an audience for it.

It's nice to see that Gundam Thunderbolt will be getting a domestic release.I hope this will broaden its' exposure. I bought the import limited edition because Rightstuf has some agreement with Sunrise where they can't release domestic premium box sets of Gundam.

Wow, I actually can't believe this is happening. I never would have imagined that Sound of the Sky (which is my #2 favorite anime ever behind ARIA) would ever have gotten a Blu Ray release (honestly, a couple years back I thought RightStuf would eventually lose the rights to it to Aniplex given that it was an Anime Chikara title). That's easily an instant preorder. I wonder how long we'll have to wait for ARIA on Blu Ray considering that the Japanese Blu Rays only came out last year.

Sound of the Sky is a surprise, that's for sure. I'm still waiting on news about Utena and Aria, but I'll take this easily

Nozomi/RS have finally entered the age of Bluray
Please do BDs for Tamayura too. That's another anime whose backgrounds simply beg for HD.
NB: Except for the latest Avvenire OVA, all of Aria is from the DVD era. The BD release is only an upscale, i.e. the same thing your video player already does.

I love Sound of the Sky, I still have the Bandai release. Hopefully it will also get a UK BD release.

Noice! I missed out on Gundam Thunderbolt as I was between jobs when it was released (it seems like it was an incredibly small batch) Props to those that got a copy. I'm be forever jealous.

I was very tempted to get the Thunderbolt LE, but lack of translations kinda of knicked it for me. So I'm glad to see another BD release is happening, which I'll keep an eye out for.
I'm also excited for Sound of the Sky on BD, now if they could release it in a LE format (probably not going to happen) then I'd pre-order.
