Great, now there's going to be a manga adaptation and Viz is going to throw that in Jump because they think everyone still loves Yu-Gi-Oh.
Ugh.

Don't the mangas make it in the top seller lists in the NY Times though? That sounds like people still love it to me.

I'm considering giving this one a try since I haven't watched Yu-Gi-Oh! in a long time.

Sure would be nice if Crunchyroll simulcasted this.
Yusaku's hair reminds me of Yuma's, but better. I like the design and the sounds of his personality so far. I was worried we might be in store for a Zexal 2.0, but hearing he's in high school has alleviated those fears.
Wish we had a better idea of the plot, but skate/hoverboard duels sound neat.

Yu-Gi-Oh! series don't get a manga adaptation until a year or two after the anime has been out, so that won't be happening anytime soon.

Is his hair really anymore weird than Yuma's or Yuya's? His hair is pretty tame compared to them.

Weird hair has been a staple of this franchise ever since the first appearance of Yugi himself. Don't know why you're questioning this now.

Crunchroll will pick it up in 4 years, sub the first 30 episodes, then forget about it. Also use the English names. Just stick to fansubs.
Wouldnt be too surprised at Zexal 2.0 given how much better it was received compared to Arc-V, but we'll see. Something new wouldnt be bad either.

You're probably right about the long wait, but Crunchyroll isn't that bad. They use the Japanese character names in their subs, and have already fully subbed GX and 5D's.

There are a couple of similarities, but not enough that I think that's what we'll get. After how well Arc-V was received in Japan, I'm expecting a staff shake-up.

The only thing that I'm hoping for is that this new Yu-Gi-Oh! series is more serious than Arc V because boy was that one a circus act.

If they make a new Summoning type, I wonder how they could they when they are running out of ideas.
