He really did have a thing for rodents.. His character designs sort of had that kind of look to them generally, and then there was Ode to Kirihito, which was full-on rodent. Not my thing, I must say...

I would have been surprised if he hadn't done this rather than that he did do it. If you spend so much time drawing, you're gonna draw a few lewd ones for the hell of it. If a lot of your drawings were anthropomorphized animals, well, this happens.

This is just... wrong. I don't care if he is the godfather of manga, this is just plain wrong. Then again, eroticism was never his strong point. Cleopatra was visually too bizarre it got in the way of the eroticism.

Japan in the 1950s must have been full of rodents, it was not a clean country like today.
