This dub is going to be so AWESOME! Funimation is using so many of there best voice actors that this just maybe the best dub of the season.

Dang that's one hell of a lineup. I'm always down for a good dub so I'll give it a chance. I do wonder what they'll do about the foreign languages the staff used for the elfs and other tribes though.

Now this is what I'm talking about, Funimation! This is what I wanted to see... er, hear. All the more reason to want to watch and perhaps purchase on Blu-Ray.

Give it another shot in like a year. Because that's what happened when I first started reading drifters right after Hellsing. |

This is a great line-up, but I haven't seen Bryce P. on any of these shows lately. Does he work for someone else now?

Do Funimation dub everything now? every dub announcement in the last few months, nearly everyone of them has been from them. Well at least they are brining at some of their better, if not overused VAs, I was getting tired of seeing untalented newcomers.

Then what do you want? Moderately used VAs? Pretty sure the only way newcomers will get better is if they are put in more shows. |

He never exclusively worked for Funmation. |

When I saw the announcement on their site last night, I came away rather impressed.
Most of the other R1 companies don't license as many shows as Funimation, and Funimation usually dubbed most of its shows. Throw in the partnership with Crunchyroll which involves dubbing some of their shows too, and it shouldn't be too surprising to see such announcements.
He still lives and works in LA, so whether or not they use him would depend a lot on his availability. It's still doable, but based on more recent commentaries, it sounds like most calls from Tara Williams, Funi's talent coordinator, lead off with asking if the actor will be available to record on an ongoing basis. All the actors are freelance, so there is nothing stopping anyone from recording with multiple companies, though it oftentimes isn't cost effective for them to travel much to do so. |

In the case of Bryce, he most likely uses a home studio. I would imagine it might be a bit more challenging trying to follow a sound director hundreds of miles away.

Oddly enough, Drifters is mysteriously not listed on their schedule for tomorrow...

minor roles first certainly makes sense, but a few years does not. Not with so much getting dubbed these days. if it takes that long to get good enough, then something is going wrong |
