Wait, is Discotek beginning to dub or was this dub previously created?

Fantastic news! I'm really glad this is getting a dub and I hope that it'll attract new people to the franchise.

What Discotek is dubbing Lupin the III part IV? Words can not describe how shocked and thrilled I am about this.

SOOOOOOO HYPPPPPPPPPPPPPEDDDDD
Awesome hearing (almost) all of the series 2 dub cast once again, Zenigata's new voice actor Doug Erholtz sounds close enough to the original Series 2 dub Zenigata Jake Martin (which i believe quit doing anime dub work sadly) Anyways im soo hyped. Interesting Discotek picked up this show while the Jigen Movie which Discotek also dubbed had a different Cast. |

This was already going to be a guaranteed buy from me, especially after finding out four out of the five main cast members from the Part II English dub are returning. I super excited to add this to my growing Lupin III collection! The franchise is one of the three pillars of my anime fandom, and I can't imagine a better time to be a fan, between this coming out over here and that Goemon movie coming out next year.

Rather liked the performances from the Part II dub so it's nice to hear so many of the actors will be reprising.

It had been worked on since January so it's most likely the same as Jigen's Gravestone where TMS was involved with that dub. Other VAs confirmed for Part IV are Jeff Nimoy, Erin Fitzgerald and Spike Spencer. Last edited by NJ_ on Tue Nov 01, 2016 1:34 am; edited 4 times in total |

Wow, just WOW! And they even got 4 out of 5 of the Part 2 dub cast back! (And the last one, they couldn't really do anything about it, but Doug Erholz sounds great). To me, Tony Oliver simply is Lupin, probably because part 2 on late night early adult swim was my first exposure to Lupin. Tony Oliver is also Rick Hunter to me too, I met him at Otakon a few years ago and went to his Q&A panel (nothing else was really going on for me at the time), but I really enjoyed it and the guy is as sweet irl as you want him to be. And he's been dubbing since the 80s, probably one of the very few still in the industry today, so hearing stuff from a guy who's been dubbing over 30 years is really cool too. I got him to autograph one of my 80s broadcast version Robotech DVDs. And his panel encouraged me to check out Gungrave, which was indeed an excellent show.

The dub was previously created but not distributed yet. Discotek's fan base must have gotten a lot higher with this announcement. |

This is fantastic. Maybe if it does well enough internationally they'll make a second season?

This is the best anime news I've read all year. Holy totinos.
I loved Richard Epcar's Jigen and Lex Lang's Goemon. |
