Looks actually passable by Shaft standards. Not amazing, passable though. NHK will want to stay very hands on with this attempt by a late night anime studio to make something family friendly to ensure they don't go off message though.

That air time in the image says 11 pm right? There's no way I could see this airing Saturday at 11 am. It's from Young Animal after all. Odd that they don't use the 24 (26) hour clock in that image since that's what I always see television for air times.

So true i have to say i was very disappointed that shaft was chosen but as i watch the preview its not as bad as i thought it would be,major plus no head tilts in sight,im crossing my fingers hoping it stays that way

Hopefully they keep it 1 or 2 cours, i don't think I'd want to see the current bit of the manga animated...

This series is already quite wholesome. Rei's thoughts can get a bit dark and there's this ambiguous scene that leaves you thinking he may have slept with the daughter of the man who took him in. But it really doesn't need babysitting.
