Ahahaha, I'm so glad they kept one of my favorite scenes from the manga, LOL. September is so far away! I hope we get to see the part where the main heroine kicks ass in sports.

I still can't get over the fact the lead girl loses a ton of weight and becomes a bonafide beauty by being freakin' DEPRESSED! I.....what?

If you are looking for realism in this anime, stop now. You won't find it.
It's very funny and very unrealistic and a good parody.

The "fat caricature to harem-magnet" beginning aside, I'm looking forward to this series as a fun, filly tongue-and-cheek example of the genre. I'm expecting some BL-teasing scenes between the MC's harem boys and I can only hope it gets as ridiculous as possible. Somehow I've found the spoofing AND unironic watching of this genre insanely fun.

That's actually addressed in the story, for what it's worth, ie. one of the guys start to wonder if he only likes her because she's thin and pretty, and how he would feel if she was a fat caricature again. It's not taken terribly seriously, but it's there, with predictable results.

That DOES make me feel a bit better. I'll be watching this regardless but even if it's passing it's nice to know a potentially controversial segment of the series is acknowledged.
From what little we've seen of the animation so far I'm pretty optimistic.

How is it perfect? She sounds like she's in a completely different genre. The trailer would be fine if it wasn't for her sounding just plain wrong, and I really hope she won't be using this voice and style in the show.
