As least they looked tall enough, and Asian usually aged a bit later than others. Heck, most of my friends including myself didn't looked that different from our high school years despite graduated over 5 years ago, and these are anime characters too which can be drawn to looked like a 7 years old girl albeit being over 30 years old.
