I think this is a short anime if its timeslot is an indication. Anyway, this looks like an interesting take on the magical girl genre.

Camera angle in that PV has let me know this isn't a show for me. Had that feeling from the other info here on ANN. But, that's okay, not every anime out there is something I want to check out. Now I know for sure that this is one of those.

The original manga is actually a pretty tame comedy without much titillation, with most of the humour being derived from poking gentle fun at magical girl fiction and subverting genre expectations. But then, it's not like there aren't any precedents of anime adaptations dialling up the fanservice...

Glad I'm not the only one who gets seriously creeped out by this stuff. But alas, this is what a huge portion of the anime fanbase lusts after, so that's what they're given. There's no real point in fighting it so instead I just stick to the good stuff and good people.

I watch such content and I do volunteer work for local community organizations when I'm not busy getting my education at an institution of higher knowledge. I really feel like people are overreacting on this one. We will have to wait and see, but I am inclined to think that if they were to "dial up the fanservice" this would not be a short. At least my mind is so saturated of panty shots that most of the time I no longer notice them (yeah, they are that common and it is not a trend that started recently) unless someone makes a deal of it like in this thread.

Now that that's out of the way.. That preview didn't interest me in the slightest. I might have a look when it comes out but it just looks really generic.

Nevertheless, it's pretty clear what they're going for and who they're selling to, and it's off-putting to me (though I am clearly not part of their target audience).

Let me remind you people that if you are going to throw the P-word around, it applies only to attraction to prepubescent individuals and our main heroine in this series is in middle school (as in, she is a teenager). So no, calling this pedo-bait is no different than calling the original Sailor Moon such (and there were swimsuits/panty shots in that one too). What was it about a book and its cover ...
