Hmm I'm kinda curious about this. Seeing how Funimation plans to relaunch the channel and also plans to work on another anime for Winter (Dimension W), it seems they are approaching business in some different manners next year.

It's a shame that Frontier's cable has fewer channels for the same price as Comcast, because I'd like to get this new channel.

Maybe more than twelve people will get it this time around.

I aready found out about this in the Roberts Anime Corner Store news letter he said that Funimation might be altering the Funimation channel because they are losing viewers to Anime pirate websites.

Isn't this, y'know....sort of a bad time to be STARTING a cable channel?
(If it was a cable channel that announced synergy with its streaming-app version, maybe, but Funi's already got that.)

Pirate sites have been around since before the channel existed. I doubt that's the sole reason, if a reason at all. I never cared for the channel since they never seemed to make an effort to get it to more locations. The fact that Cable TV is dying out makes me care less about it.

I'd watch it. But does a relaunch mean it will be widely available? This is a wait and see thing.

There really isn't any reason to watch anime on pirate sites now. Between Funimation, Viz Media, and Crunchyroll, you can pretty much watch any anime you want. Even Crackle has some anime shows.

I hope that's the case. Earlier this year, there was a news article that stated that Netflix was aiming to produce it's own anime. Maybe, Funimation will team up with Netflix.

With the fact that more and more people are moving away from Cable, this just seems like a lot of wasted effort. I'd much rather them put the effort into making their site / apps and overall streaming a far better and more enjoyable experience.

Really, just four states? Wait, Washington, Oregon, Indiana and Connecticut? No wonder I've never heard of this station, it's from some strange parallel world where those states are in the same region.
It doesn't need a rebranding, it's needs a relocation correction in the space time continuum.
Seriously, I am curious if so few people are subscribing to this service that they can't get notified personally. "Brad, Greg and Renaldo, We're changing the name of that thing you're actually paying money for."
Ok, still not there yet. Wow, this is hard. Right. So this is still a thing that exists and people put money into and other people pay for? Cable television?
Nope, I'm still smirking. TOKU... Why does that remind me of something that starts with "R"? Oh...
Look, I can't take this seriously if it doesn't take itself serious. The very fact that all of it makes me laugh really makes me hope it's all just a joke. This is bad as Mr. Depression himself making a Godzilla film.

I really wish Xfinity would carry this. We only have it via On Demand, and we have about 5 episodes each of four different anime. (I just checked). Would love to have that TOKU channel.

I'll start caring about stuff Funimation does when they decide to open up their services to Europe instead of catering only to select regions.
Crunchyroll is fine for now, though.

yeah, same for me. I would love to have full access to the funimation channel again instead of some useless and expensive VoD version.

Hopefully this will be available on cox so I can watch it with my sibling. We used to watch it with our friend as she had the channel. It was our first exposure to English dubs that were fateful to the Japanese.
