This will be a perfect method for jumping back into the game. PC SRPGs are a blast to play and tend to control pretty nicely (if they are optimized properly), so I'll definitely be looking to pick this one up.

And the time for NISA to embrace the glory of PC gaming begins.

And if the controls are not "optimized" for PC...you can plug in pretty much any console controller and be happy.
I'm hoping this leads to 5 coming to PC. Will literally just be FFXV and Star Ocean 5 left for me on consoles. and FFXV has tons of hints that it's coming to PC.

Interesting. I hope they'll be implementing at least some of the improvements to the mechanics from the later games released after the PSP-port. At the very least, the "Even stronger enemies" and "Strongest enemies" bills in the Dark Assembly really should get put in there. I expect they will though, NIS has generally been quite good about adding improvements from "later" titles in their remakes. It would be rather underwhelming if this remake turns out to be just a direct port of Afternoon of Darkness, not implementing any of the fine-tunings from 3, 4, D2, 5 and the portable remakes. I mean, I'm not expecting Magichange or the Land of Carnage here... but can we at least have diagonal throwing that isn't horribly unprecise?

Pretty much with the controller comment. As to the others, I'm pretty much in the same boat. If more of the PS4 exclusives come to PC, I'll be less inclined to pick one up. Although, currently, Star Ocean 5, Horizon and Bloodborne are more than enough for me

I can't physically use a controller, and if they are bringing it to the PC it had better be optimized for the mouse and keyboard. Otherwise why bother doing it.

I played and liked the original PS1 version of this game a while ago, so I'll probably buy this sometime.
Any chance of them doing more games in the series or other NIS SRPGs?

I'm pretty sure the first Disgaea game was for the PS2.
Personally, I wouldn't bet on Nippon Ichi porting the rest of the franchise unless this initial offering succeeds. As for non-Disgaea tactical RPGs, Phantom Brave would be an excellent place to start.

Despite never having played a Disgea game I'm looking forward to this
I've always liked the look of them and really enjoyed the anime, so getting one on Steam is good news
Mind you I am currently on a bit of JRPG spree as I'm currently playing Tales of Zestiria, and have picked up a few others in the last couple of months.
