Neat. There are older games that need it more, but this is an easier way of earning some cash I guess.

Sadly, it doesn't look like they did anything to it aside from 1080p. They said there are some new gameplay things that they'll talk about later, but that isn't the point of an HD remaster. The three previous Zelda re-releases were updated graphically so they looked at least a bit more fresh. This one, at least at the moment, looks like a straight port of the GameCube version. Maybe the graphics upgrade will be more apparent closer to release, but at the moment it looks like that aspect wasn't touched at all.

Nor is playing the game in 720p or 1080p. HD remasters exist for the sole purpose of publisher's rereleasing games to make some extra money off them by driving people who may no longer own their original copies or people who never played the original games to play them. It being in HD is largely irrelevant.

Wind Waker more or less looks exactly like the Gamecube original, whereas Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask 3DS look like completely different games from their N64 counterparts.

Wind Waker doesn't look much different because it's cel-shaded. There's only so much you can do to a cel-shaded game since that art style lasts a long time.

What a lazy looking port. I had my fill on the Gamecube but the core game is the best 3D Zelda so newcommers will still need to get it.
Who the hell named Linkle btw. (insert rule 63 joke here) and isn´t Sheik is the female Link?
Edit: Yes i know Nyren but Sheik is usual regarded as his counterpart. Most gamers even thank that Link himself is named Zelda.

Sheik is Zelda in disguise. Linkle is apparently an entirely separate character. My impression is that she's a big fan of Link and so she dresses similarly, yet uniquely and uses crossbows instead of a sword and shield.

Typo in the article. The original game came out on the Wii, not Wii U, in 2006.

Anyone know where I can pre-order it that includes the OST?
Nintendo said that it would only be at select retailers, and I didn't see it listed with the pre-order for either Amazon or Best Buy. Amazon is now sold out, and I'm freaking out because they could actually have it, but not have it listed and now I've missed out... I'm scared to pre-order from Best Buy, though, because the OST is the only reason I'm really justifying purchasing this game altogether, and if I got the game but not the OST that would kill it for me. Lol.

It's likely not on sale yet.

More than likely when they say "select retailers" they mean the usual suspects like Amazon, BB, Gamestop, etc. If it is not up NOW, it probably will be later. If you reserve it somewhere it's likely that they will have the OST

of course it's for money reasons they publish such.. also trainee reasons sometimes (learning new hardware).. and since it's taking Nintendo so long to publish the new Zelda Wii U/NX (and the new console), they need all the cash they can get.. (often, when they make new games on new consoles, it takes longer then expected, meaning, it costs more to make it.. doing such easy/fast "remakes/HD reamkes" is way to ensure they have cash flowing in.. just like Square-Enix does)
but eitherway, TP was one of the best Zeldas ever back then with one of the best Zelda Soundtracks too..
