As a Tezuka fan I really can't say I'm a fan of how blatantly they're trying to turn this into some fujoshi thing. It's a good thing that these seiyuu are actually good in their own right, but still something about commercializing Tezuka to this extent...I just hope that this doesn't end up missing the point of the Black Jack series in the long run because the franchise has a good theme and concept at it's heart.

Dude, I don't think anyone would watch YBJ if they stayed with the original design. It's too 60's and a lot of those characters looked bloated.

Now this new design has everyone looking attractive and that's what viewers want to see.

I'm apathetic to the additions except Koyasu-san. Good lord, the legend joins a legendary series!

Agreed. I read the manga first, then watched the adaption Black Jack and Black Jack 21, where they stayed pretty close to the source, both visually and narratively (though they tamed it down a bit). But this... It feels so wrong. With Tezuka it's all about the value of life, pacifism, nature... Not bishies.
