Thankfully, Erina is on the way of redeeming herself. Her backstory already explained why she's so bitchy. Though, I like her since the beginning of the story. Her dynamic with Souma is just hilarious. But I hope she retains her rival role.

I wouldn't really say Soma is serving her that pie, it's more like things out of her control came back to hurt her, Soma has done nothing lately to humble Erina, she is meek now due to situations created by her "abusive" father. I'd humble up real quick if my best friend/ "only" friend was taken away and my cousin had to come save me from being trapped in my room.

She's popular by the manga readers, but the anime didn't reach the point where she would become popular by the anime-only viewers. It's funny that Arato beat Alice in popularity by one vote.

Yeah, you're right. It's her father who's doing all this to her, in the end.
Still, no one who sees the state she's in now will see her the way that figurine depicts. Maybe except that man.
