I wouldn't mind contributing to a KS/IG for her recovery, if she was actually using the stuff, if she's trafficking the stuff then no thanks, drug trafficking is a grave sin.

What she apparently did is bad bad bad, Ruined her career.
And now, if that's the case, she must pay the consequences with a price. |

NPA is deadly serious... if not PR China tier against any recreational drugs. http://www.kansaigaidai.ac.jp/asp/pdf/current_students/01_student_handbook/Drug_Laws_In_Japan.pdf |

Not quite PRC tier as there's no death penalty for drugs in Japan, it's a step above the US though. There needs to be some rehab over there. |

I've never had drugs in my life and I've never wondered such a thing since it's the equivalent of wondering why the sky is blue. Nor would I take a harsh stance on someone who either becomes addicted to it or uses it recreationally. |

Funny how her character in Kill Me Baby looked like she was high all the time, but it's still too bad her life has been ruined.

I wonder what she was done for? Yellow Bentines? Clarky Cat? Cake? Those metabolically bisturbile drugs are dangerous, hopefully her Shatner's Bassoon is undamaged.

This really sucks. The fact that she used them and got caught, she must have been hanging with some bad/wrong people. And she's kinda person would fall for anything, who would trust anyone.
I really like her from listening to the internet radio from Aoi Hana and briefly on KMB, Very soft spoken and likable person. |

Once more, a person's life will be ruined by a mistake she made, by a dehumanizing law, and by a society that is ready to ostracize her. Okay, time to show my figurative middle finger to the government in Tokyo, and to her agency who didn't even care to know why she was arrested (I didn't see Ubukata get nearly as much of this s***).
Greeting from a country that treats drugs as a health problem and prefers rehabilitation over prison. |

Assuming that there could be one of us practicing law, how many months or years she'll be facing if found guilty?
One of the worst things a Japanese celebrity would be facing if arrested for any offense, asides from social rejection and losing credibility and face value, is trial by publicity -- often the press will analyze incidents and crimes down to the smallest of minutiae. Of course, the notorious tabloids (i.e. Shukan Bunshun) will be having a field day, and that talent agencies are known for insisting on straight-arrow demeanor will kick anyone found to be in violation of agreed stipulations in their contracts. As for some of the other comments I read here that goes along the grain of "serves her right", can those people stop sounding obnoxiously self-righteous? Being humiliated can be downright traumatizing. |

So providing someone a product they wish to buy is a "grave sin"? No, that's called trade, a voluntary transaction. I'll just leave this here: http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/studies/cu/cumenu.htm http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/studies/cu/cu4.html http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/studies/cu/cu5.html

Anyway Hoppy, I can guarantee you that losing her job and the stigma attached to the drug use will ruin her life far worse than the drugs themselves ever did. Halsted, the "Father of Modern Surgery", was a drug addict almost his entire adult life. Imagine what medical advancements would have been lost or set way back, killing countless people, had he been fired and his career ruined simply because he was using drugs. |

I wonder what they'd find if they rifled through the board members of Fuji TV's respective closets .. I would hazard they would find a few things a tich more...exotic? Than cocaine. I love the 'shadow' hypocrisy sigh. Hope the girl gets some help though; and doesn't wind up in prison. |
