I can see some female char now. Finally I can be at ease that it's not a fujoshi bait.

"Shirow Miwa is in charge of character designs"
Well, fudgepackers. Trigger, you get another chance. Maybe he could write it, too?

They were in the first article too? Just not in the PV.

I'm finding it really funny how i've been seeing a lot of people getting angry at "fujoshi baits" lately, as if it was something recent. and yet when 80% of a season is composed of ecchi no one bats an eye at it. But anyways, i'm digging the visuals, can't wait to see some animation footage.

This. I'm not lying when I say I love arguing with men on my forum who would say, like in this season's STARMYU I had seen guys say like "this season sucks" or something and then they would go to like a recent *insert a generic harem anime here* episode and be all like "smells like that time *unzips*" I guess men like to think with their downstairs more. Not saying women don't, but it's really funny.

I am with u all the way! I'm a girl and i hate it when men complain about fujoshi animes!! Listen, just because u get your half-naked girls and your sexual anime girl teasers that doesn't mean we can't have any of ours! I like animes that have a bit of both! Besides, i do watch some animes that go OVERBOARD with the hentai yet i still watch them for the "PLOT"....i once attempted at watching High School D and ToLoveRu and both were fine. If the art is good and the fanservice is not excessive it's fine by me!

While I do agree with you guys that most guys are 'Anime for girls? (a.k.a otome fans and fujoshi) Yuck!', I think that's not exactly the case here.
Trigger is supposed to save anime you see. I still don't understand where that came from lol.
And Trigger making something for fujoshi isn't saving anime right? They want the next Kill la Kill or Inferno Cop and the like.
So people here aren't necessarily saying that they think anime for female otaku and fujoshi is bad, but they just don't want Trigger doing an anime aimed at fujoshi.
Which brings me to this point: So what if they did make an anime for females? No harm done.

Getting a better look at the designs, I can say they look pretty swell. I'm kind of digging Tenga there. He kind of gives me Takarada vibes, though.
Even so, what's all the fuss about a mostly male cast? If the story and designs are well enough, I'm all for it. Besides, I kind of like it when boy protagonists look different.
(And to those who are worried about merchandising, at best the guys might get like 1 figure, at worst a bunch of keychains.)

Nothing wrong with hot guys in my anime, I just prefer it when there are hot girls too. Share some of that hotness!
As far as this series and the staff behind it, I think it looks and sounds fantastic. I really like the premise, I have enjoyed a lot of Mari Okada's projects as well. Looking through her ANN page is actually ridiculously impressive. Toradora, Anohana, Hanasaku, Wixoss, Lull in the Sea, Black Rock Shooter... I mean, holy shit! That list has more than a few of my favorite shows on it.

Okay, so it was first a meme based on comments director Yukata Yamamoto made about the anime industry being in a sad state and his claim that he would retire if his new anime Fractale wasn't a hit. People interpreted this as saying he would "save anime". In light of Fractale's commercial failure, people began ironically saying other anime/studios/people (as well as everything Yamakan proceeded to do, especially if it seemed to stand out from the norm in some way, like Wake Up, Girls!'s gritter take on the idol anime movement/genre) would "save anime".
Trigger being formed by members of the once-legendary, now-less-so studio Gainax, its establishment and promise of original series came at a good time for people to apply the meme to Trigger and their works. I have a feeling you could have looked this up rather than joking about not knowing where it came from and doing nothing to change this, but there we go.

The story premises are really interesting, and I like how each character is associated to a colour according to their personality.
