I loved this anime, but I fear the blu-ray's going to be region locked... US blu-rays do not work here.

The first season of Symphogear is still licensed by Funimation as far as I'm aware, so they'll have to wrestle it from them first.
This is a definite buy from me, I just hope they release the Blu-ray from the get-go. Sentai has a habit of releasing some shows DVD only, then waiting a year before releasing the Blu-rays. (Looking at you Hidamari Sketch, Chuu2Koi, and Sasami-san.)

I like Locodol so naturally I'm glad that someone picked it up for home video release. I didn't think it would actually get licensed, such was the show's niche appeal.

Unless I'm mistaken I don't believe it's them purposely holding back the bluray release but do to restrictions, hold backs and reverse importation fears that they aren't able to release the blurays until a later point and release DVD only sets for those who dont care/dont want to wait.

Actually I believe that funimation has limited streaming rights since you can only watch symphogear on the website and not through roku.

I'm interested in watching this anime, but I'm worried it might have panty shots and boob fondling. It doesn't have those, does it? Because if it does, I'm dropping it like a hot potato.

I don't recall any panty shots or boob fondling. It's a pretty clean show other than some typical idol promotion stuff (swimsuits in particular).

No one (at least in the the English-speaking countries) has home video rights to Symphogear. Both Funimation and CR currently have streaming rights for the first series, but the former's rights are more restrictive.

Finally! Here's hoping Locodol eventually gets an English version.

If it's Geo-Locked like Elfen Lied and amlost all of their recent releases then it will work on a UK PS3. (if I'm right in assuming you're from the uk.)
