My personal opinion about DBS is that it sucks! Well, that's harsh, but it's remaking the (IMO) worst DBZ movie that has been made. That, including how slow was during the first 4 episodes, the Japanese actors that I really don't like and the fact that the show is not being streamed by neither FUNImation nor Crunchyroll made me drop the show after the horrible 5th episode (I was watching it with my brother fansubbed).

Here in LatinAmerica, Dragon Ball is a massive hit (especially in Peru) even today, so DBS may be licensed by some company, with the original voice actors which are way more better than the Japanese ones (after 10 years of watching the series, one can be really attached to the Mexican voice actors). But if that happens, it will likely start being broadcast next year.

So yeah, my interest in Dragon Ball has disappeared since the Battle of Gods movie, and even if it airs here in Peru or in any place in LatinAmerica, I'm pretty sure I won't waste my time catching up with it.

I find DBS tolerable at 2.0x playback speed. It's just...really dumb. Even for Dragon Ball, talking about the original and often more goofy and comical first half, it's just so dumb and there's just nothing attractive there.

If crunchyroll were to stream it I would watch it there. Not a huge fan of Funi's premium service but it's a shame no one is streaming it.

I'd give it a go if it was made available for streaming. I'm not a huge Dragon Ball fan, though, so I don't really feel the fact that it's not.

More than anything, I'm interested in what's happening behind the scenes. It's almost definitely a hold up on Toei's part--if Funi could stream it, they would--but who knows what the specifics are.

I'm pretty mellow about the whole thing, even though I'd like to see it. I'd end up waiting for a dub, anyway, so I was planning on waiting. If it got a broadcast dub or somehow ended up on Toonami, I would watch it. Also, finding out that is is basically rehashing the recent movies curbed my enthusiasm a lot since I'm not missing out on anything new by not seeing the show so far.

As a teenager I was a big Dragon Ball fan, but I outgrew it as I started watching more anime and became a more hardcore fan. So, I am more puzzled than upset that Funimation was unable to simulcast DBS.

Waiting for a dub, so if they did a stream for a dub that's way behind the Japanese broadcast, I'll be okay with that. Doesn't matter if streaming or TV, as long as its dubbed and not missing episodes, as in starting from episode 1.

I'll wait for the dub. I wouldn't watch Dragon Ball any other way.

I didn't even know DBS wasn't streaming!

I'm impartial to DBS, but Dragon Ball is something of a cornerstone for anime. That the latest series isn't being made available in the U.S.... that's just weird. Even Sailor Moon Crystal got simulcast.

Seriously, what gives?

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I strongly dislike the Japanese voices for DBZ. I'm holding out for the dub.

I'm not surprised at all that it isn't streaming. Dragon Ball is one of the most popular series in the world. Toei knows this and likely wanted some absurd amount of money that Funimation just said nope and decided to wait. Really, anyone that was expecting Super to stream outside of Japan was kidding themselves. We're still waiting on the final Kai arc, there was no way we'd get Super before that. Funimation also knows that dragon ball is one of the few shows that people outside of Japan prefer dubbed.

I'll wait for the dub to come. We'll probably get it sometime in late 2016 or early 2017 once Toonami runs out of Kai episodes.

All the season sets were out by the time I got into DBZ, so my first experience watching it was through binge watching. Given how long winded many of the DBZ arcs could be, this was probably the optimal way of consuming it. Therefore, if it was simulcast, I would probably drop it at some point due to its slow pace and pick it up later when I could just binge the whole series.
