Trying to understand why someone would bother bullying a mascot シナモンさん seems nice.

It's things like this that make me hate the internet.
Like seriously the human race has sunk so low that there are some of us who bully fictional children's mascots now. I mean Really?! Grow up, it's not even that funny it's pathetic that someone would act like that. I don't get how this is "Cool" or "fun" it's so infuriating how low some people are. I hope this thing makes a good showing in the character poll and sticks it to all those people I want to end this somewhat angry rant with Wheaton's Law "Don't be a dick" |

The bullying of Cinnamon seems tame compared to the constant death threats (or at least the "hoping you choke on lasagna" death wishes) sent to Garfield through his official Twitter.

There are better ways to spend your time than to bully an online mascot especially this one.

Are you serious? Why do people bother sending hate tweets to fictional characters? |

About the trolling: hardly inconceivable, but sad and baffling nonetheless. Some people really have way too much time on their hands (and I say that as someone who's currently unemployed).
About the poll: looks like reaching into the otaku market via Show By Rock!! was a success, slightly more so with female otaku. Hopefully this won't end up turning Sanrio into yet another otaku-pandering business by turning them away from their original demographic (and I say that as someone who voted for Plasmagica). |

I suppose the one time that bullying is OK is if you do it to something fictional.

This is just terrible. I love Cinnamon. This is immature, stupid, and horrible.

Bullying a mascot character? Some people must have really pathetic lives.

Some of it feels like blatant trolling (like calling out when a person for eating a hamburger that they are in fact eating a slaughtered cow) while things like "die in a train crash" is more along the lines of being mean spirited, but just as well those that are trolling see no difference between "ill humor" and just outright being a jerk.
The people that are losing out is in fact the target fan audience that the company is trying to cater to with this "fictional character tweet". |

Man...These miscreants must have nothing better to do than to harass someone so innocent as Cinnamon. Sadly, it seems that Twitter isn't known for dropping their ban hammer on people that use their accounts for bullying purposes...

I get the feeling that while some of the bullies/mean tweets are indeed meant to be taken at face value as a through and through hate messages, other tweets might have been going meta, and trying to engage with the character as if it was an actual person ("hope you slip and die" to fictional character... ).
Either way, by the time Chiffon has appeared, I think that everyone bullying - whether actual or pretend - got caught up in the 'hate train' and spiraled out of control. That's a good example of the Bandwagon Effect. |

While I don't particularly follow any Sanrio's products, I will have to say some people just have nothing better to do but to talk rubbish in the Internet.

Thus we witness the sheer idiocy of fools who are trying to attack on a MASCOT. What do they have to gain from it? I don't know, most likely attention. That usually tends to be the case, in which it'd be best to not give them what they want. Either way, they shouldn't deserve any acknowledgement at all due to how pathetic this display is. It's just not worth it and they're only embarrassing themselves. At least, that's my opinion.

Just the fact that they are bullying a fictional character with kindergarten tier insults makes this hilarious. I don't how it's possible to take such bullying seriously.
