For me I almost always enjoy Japanese music, from J-pop and J-rock to soundracks and classical/traditional, over Western music because there is a certain nuance of how melodies, rhythm and certain audible characteristics are used that just seems absent from Western music. The fact that the words are in Japanese doesn't distract from the enjoyment either, I think it actually enhances it because you concentrate more on the rich vocal qualities that Japanese singers have than the words being sung. Hyde from Larc~en~Ciel is one of the best examples of that in that I think his voice is one of the most beautiful male voices in the world.

Ah, the fate of those of us who work in retail/service industries. We hate the customers we come in contact with. Do you hae people in general or those inconsider A-holes who expect you to help them but are more interested in their cell phone conversation?

I've had a few issues, but the warranty is as good as they say so they're easily fixed. However, you might remember me saying something about hating hit and run drivers? My car has been hit on three times while parked on different occasions, if something did fall off I doubt anyone would notice.

That's an easy enough mistake. No, I haven't met him, but it wouldn't be hard to. Bangor is about 65 miles north of me, he's very active in that community. He has coached high school sports and I'm told decorates his house every year for Halloween and trick-or-treating.

No way! Music should be universal! Language barriers shouldn't matter.
By the way, I love L'Arc~en~Ciel to death. ^___^

Ever get the feeling people may be trying to hit your car? lol Reminds me of the guy Han from Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, "You're representing me now. You think I was just gonna let you roll in a Hyundai?"
Jadress you are very pretty. Best of all you join the rank of living Goddess, along with Bamboo, because you put MEAT for favorite foods. Meat eaters rule!!!
edit---I did imagine her as a blonde and it's not just cause of her avatar. I hear the name Jadress and for some reason I think of the main character from the comic Sojourn. I'm just weird.

I already have my places to stay, the last thing I have to book are my train tickets from Dublin to Limerick, and then Limerick to Cork, and finally from Cork to Dublin. |
Sounds really fun. I lived near Galway (right across the bay, actually; I could see the city on the other side of the water from where I lived)in an area called the Burren, but visited Dublin, Killarny, Lisburn and Belfast. And I hiked all over the countryside, as well. The whole country is gorgeous, but the west coast in particular is stunning. It's a shame you won't get to see much of it. Dublin's a great city, though; I loved it.

Told ya. ;p
And Ra-chan, PSME FTW! I didn't even think about it when typing up my info, but I agree; that manga is the best. And I hope you're looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie (and final book!) as much as I am. We should both read the new book uber-fast when it comes out and then gossip about the spoilers.

For the most part you and I both know about that one You just have to know how to handle those types of people, because once you do, they become a distant memory, or more of a group that you expect to have to deal with all the time.

This just reminded me of something I should have added and I have edited my original post now on page 4 yet again. To save anyone who wants to know a couple of clicks I'll just quote what I wrote in a section I added and named 'fun facts about "undeadben" which is to differentiate my online alias from my RL 'fun facts about ben' section.
I wrote: | - as undeadben my most notable online time (aside from here) was spent in the Harry Potter fandom, something I am now just getting back into. I started while awaiting the release of book 5 and I used to love reading all the different theories about what was coming up. I have come up with quite a few of my own and have written essays online at different places on topics such as a potential Hermione/Harry relationship, "Ginny is evil" theories, Dumbledore, Book 6, and a few lesser posts and theories on the Marauders, Horcruxes, Dumbledore is dead, and Harry Potter's chances of survival. |
Yes, I was, and still am to a certain extent, a Hermione and Harry shipper. You may all laugh if you wish.

QFT
Think about it; American pop stars are huge in other countries. Even Japan loves foreign music. I know of a very small band somewhere in my region that toured in Japan with a bigger band, then returned to do their own small tour; they nearly sold out every show.

hahahaha!! It's quite alright. But just to let you know, vegetarians do not just eat lettuce. haha! We also eat a wide variety of vegetables, beans, legumes, fruits, nuts, and dairy. I get most of my protein from the beans and legumes, which really does give my my necessary levels of protein needed.
I worked at a retail bookstore during college. I can honestly say that if I ever have to go back to retail, I'd be in the worst depressive state one could imagine.
