That is quite a creative site there...
I wonder if this will ever get an anime adaptation.

Come now Sunny you just know that it will, probably multi-season with a theatrical release and tie-ins out the wazoo.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I think there are many better titles even among the same kind of media to adapt.

If there having an anime promo, it'd make sense that they might have an eventual anime promo.

I really hope they don't because most likely it's going to have heavy fanservice due to the main characters being female.
Still, the promo looks awesome. Game doesn't look all that fascinating, but I really like the song they used in it.

It's a well-known clever developer trick. Here's the trick:
If you think about it, the gameplay is mostly in first-person point-of-view (like those fps games), so ya don't actually see the characters or their actions. While the gameplay part that does show the characters, the charas are simple small sprites.
Create anime promo/art/non-moving pictures showing off how the characters and their actions would look like if rendered in full gala.
So from those first-person POV and simple small sprites, the players would just fill in the rest of their imagination from those promo/art/pictures, without actually having to code those within the game.
Conclusion: it saves the developers time and money from having to fully render the characters and actions in the game itself.
Clever trick, huh?
(Talk to your friends who are into coding games.)
