I watched a part of this series yesterday, and it's a bit different than what I expected. Movement is not the key to what's going on in this series, but it is more about what's being said. I'm really liking the story behind Raimi and Oran, Oran spoiler[struggling to retain his sanity ]and Raimi spoiler[having uncovered a corporate conspiracy. ]With it's dialogue it's kind of hard to follow at first, but as you keep watching it, you begin to understand.

I watched the entire thing, on the recommendation of a friend who raved about it. Alas, it left me completely cold. It struck me as pretentious, poorly thought out and amateurishly crafted.
But my friend still raves about it, so I suppose that it satisfies some of its audience. Also.... this thread is really very, very off topic. - abunai |

Yeah, I got the same vibe myself. I only watched about half of it. The artwork was really gorgeous though, and I find it impressive what the artists were able to do with still shots like that, so on a technicle side it impressed me. But the story and characters all seemed really flat. The dialoge wasnt just confusing, it seemed to be trying overhard to MAKE itself confusing. "Hey, if no one understands us, that makes us "deep" right?" |
