I'm hoping to see some animation footages soon but still somewhat excited for this show.

The character's name is Meliodas (メリオダス - me-ri-o-da-su) and not Melodias. In fact, you have it correctly spelled in the quoted summary from the official English release.

Just as a curiosity, melodias is Portuguese for melodies.
