Thank you for picking up Moribito! Balsa is among the most strong-willed women I have ever seen in anime and the creator also did Erin which is another anime fave of mine.

What do they mean the SM boxset will only have closed captions?! What about subtitles?

I think the news I'm happiest with is that they plan on releasing Coppelion. I read some of the series online and it trumps the smile adaption by a lot. I've held off on reading it for awhile, so it looks like my patience has been rewarded.
Reading it on Crunchyroll just wasn't the same.

Glad to hear they are re-releasing Moribito. It's a fantastic show that I hope more people get a chance to watch. I have my copy of the original release and I've re-watched it twice! Also interesting to hear they plan on doing more deluxe edition releases. How big is the fanbase for Blood Lad?

I'm pretty sure they were referring to acquiring more rights to the anime for physical distribution rather than licensing the manga for print volumes, especially when Viz is co-owned by Shogakukan and Shuiesha. Since the Coppelion manga was published under Kodansha, only Kodansha USA and maybe (though unlikely) Vertical, who are co-owned by Kodansha, would be the one to release print editions of the manga in the West if they were interested.

It didn't say that there would only be closed captioning on the set. It's one of the new additions to the subtitle options. There will still be subs for the Japanese dialogue and most likely on screen text as well in addition to full subtitles paired with the English audio.

The phrasing at the end makes it look like Viz is going to publish the Coppelion manga.
Unless that is true, you should make it clear that Viz was talking about the bluray and dvd release of the anime.

I love love love HUNTER X HUNTER and I found this hilarious. "Yes, guys, more chapters will keep coming out. Yoshihiro Togashi won't take another 2-year hiatus all of a sudden, they'll keep coming!" I mean, I believe it, but...

That's very possible, but if memory serves they already licensed the anime, but it could have just been the streaming rights...
