Great news. I will be sticking with my order of the Japanese batch, but congrats to those holding out for a domestic option.

Loving this show so far, looking forward to your release Sentai.
Hope they give it a good dub cast too, liking the characters so far.

Captain Earth is from Shochiku, and Chaika is from Kadokawa. While that doesn't rule out Sentai getting the latter, it wouldn't be because they're licensed from the same company as you're assuming.

Great news! This is one if my favorites from this season! I was getting kind of worried since it hadn't been licensed yet. I hope it gets a dub, this would be one I'd like to share with my non sub watching friends and family. Plus Mecha series usually work well dubbed.
Now if only they pick up Chaika and dub it as well... I will be one happy BONES fan!

A lot of people mistakingly equate the animation studio with international rights. In reality, with a few exceptions like some Gonzo shows, the production studio has nothing to do with home video rights. They are simply hired to work on certain projects, and maintain now ownership rights to those shows.
I'm not as surprised at Sentai nabbing this, as some others. Quite a few people assumed Funi would grab it, due to the Bones connection, even though Sentai also has a few Bones shows as well. The fact that it popped up on CR, with no simulcast annoucement from Funimation, increased the odds of Setai having it pretty significantly.

I notice this also with anime discussions. The animation studio is used to describe every aspect of the series (for Captain Earth all I'm reading is "BONES this BONES that") instead of naming the staff themselves. I think it is just that the studio names are so well known by the fandom.

Aside from Chaika the other series i want licenses this season are Gokukoku no brynhildr and Black bullet but the later 2 i am pretty confident that they will get licensed sooner or later it is Chaika that i am worried about i want Chaika to have a western release dub or not although i prefer if it did have a dub

I'm surprised that Sentai picked this one up. I thought if anyone was going to license this it would be Funimation or Viz. Still glad to hear that it is getting released here though! Hopefully the QC issues aren't too bad.

Once again, another anime on my to watch list that I was just getting ready to start is announced to have been licensed. This happens way too often it's creepy. On the plus side, the longer wait will have been worth it if they give it a dub.

Good thing that you are able to understand Japanese and thus, enjoy your imports to its fullest. I would be willing to buy more Japanese releases if more of them were English subtitled because raw BD's would be wasted on me because, well, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND JAPANESE.
I will eventually watch Captain Earth, and if I enjoy it a lot, I will proudly buy Sentai's domestic release.

I'm glad that sentai has licensed this just because I'm pleased with the popularity this show is getting. Even though on MAL, No Game No Life is chugging strong somehow.........so far.

Could you at least give me some intel on where to find more of the publisher information on which shows is whos? Cause the game of licensing gets very hard in predicting when I can't seem to find info on the publishers, even on this site.
But to Dragonrider - This bones show seems to be the most anticipated though IMO. Plus I thought Funimation would do the AoT thing with keeping both sites able to stream that show.

I'm enjoying this series so far. If I like it enough at the end, I'll be sure to buy it.
