About time! This is absolutely fantastic news!

However, it's a bit too late for the anime. Sad I can definitely see it having to take a break. I doubt they'll ruin it with filler or at least I hope they won't! Fingers crossed he will stick at it for at least 1 or 2 years before taking another break so that the anime can return sooner rather than later.

From now on, when Hunter x Hunter chapters gets released in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan, the same chapters will also be printed in the U.S. version of Weekly Shonen Jump with very little or no delay.

A shame Togashi has returned too late to avoid the anime catching up. Naturally, he'll probably be back on hiatus after 20-30 chapters. Enjoy your HxH while it lasts. Wink

I didn't think we would be getting a continuation as soon as this seeing how lazy Togashi seems to be. Glad it's on it's way back.

wow...the dragon quest fanatic finally remembered he actually has an on-going series he used to work on.

i'm skeptical, but if he could actually stay motivated enough to get through an arc or two without any hiatuses, hxh would probably be the only real competition for the best battle manga in weekly jump, up against one piece.

i'm all caught up with the manga, and i've also been watching the excellent 2011 anime, and the series seems more popular than ever, despite not releasing a canonical chapter in two years, so if they've finally convinced togashi to stick to the series, it could completely knock up-and-coming series like attack on titan and kuroko out of the running for the most popular manga in japan.

very skeptical, but who knows? maybe togashi already has the majority of the next arc completed just to stay ahead of the curve?

Save for some minor tidbits here and there the 2011 anime is insanely faithful to the manga (maybe a little bit TOO faithful during the Chimera Ant battle arc where the narrator interrupts the battle going on and starts to talk for 20 minutes about extra tidbits of information).
