I never expected a female focused series(Hoozuki) to have such a small v2 event-ticket drop.
Also nice to see that Madoka is still selling a lot. But its such a shame about Nourin, the v2 drop will really hurt it.

Female focused? Seriously? Hoozuki is all-gender audience series, and it doesn't mean that orientation.
There is exactly the same situation as with Gintama, which is more liked by the female audience cause of the male characters, but at the same time remains in Shounen Jump.

Yes, I'm serious. Its a female-focused series. Or better put, its very popular among the female otaku.

Yep, Houzuki is undoubtedly a show that targets mainly the female otaku. Saying it's 'female focused' is accurate.

And on what basis is constructed this opinion?
Simple comedy sketches with parody elements and some really harsh humor isn't the female genre, and there isn't a single percent of female-oriented plot lines, cliches or male fan-service - it's even printed in the seinen magazine, which is oriented on adult male auditory. Even the fact that the author is female doesn't make a strong thing.
The only thing that can attract females - good male characters on the main roles, which are really attractive for the female audience. Only that.

For a large part, it's the seiyuu involved.

I honestly had no idea Hozuki was 'female focused'...
Either way, it's a great show and deserves the sales.

I wouldn't said that this is a point - Noragami had far more appealing actors, but it sold considerably less.

That's BS. Hoozuki is NOT a female-oriented show. Just because it has one or two voices that females like, and because the men are good looking, does NOT mean it's female-oriented. Hoozuki is for every, and it's one of the best comedies in years. Don't lump it in with the fujoushi pandering crap.

Nice to see Madoka mowing down the domestic competition.
Surprised to see Tangled there, instead of Frozen.

No one has done that. You are the only one who used those words.

Nice to see Noragami did something. Hopefully we get a sequel.

By looking at the fanbase?

Are you saying all stuff that is popular among females is fujoshi crap? Because if you think so, i've got some bad news for you.

Seriously, you're definitely confuse the terms "orientation on audience" and "fanbase". Hoozuki no Reitetsu wasn't designed for the female audience from the start and now - it became popular in the female audience cause of appealing things to them.
It's the same thing as calling a female audience-oriented "Attack on Titan" (which has a very large percentage of the female audience), "Gintama", "Tiger and Bunny" and other things that are popular among women. But that's silly.

I ment that its very popular among females. Happy now? Jesus [expletive] christ, its just semantics.
SnK is not a good example btw, its still more popular among men. Kuroko no basket and Haikyuu!! are better examples of this.

No, I was responding to the comment that Hoozuki is popular with females because of the voice actors. As in the stuff that only gets popular because it has popular guys voicing characters, stuff like Brothers Complex. I'm very aware of the difference between stuff that legitimately panders to females, and stuff that is fujoushi bait. Wors the same way as for males, really.
