Oh wow, this is unexpected. I really liked Fafner, so I'll look forward to this. I do wish the art style was different, though. I've gotten kind of sick of that style of character design.

On the list of kinda old shows I thought I'd be getting more of next year, Fafner definitely wasn't high on the list.
I'm happy though. Time to go buy that movie, so I'm caught up.

Ah finally news about this, excellent.
And 26 eps too, very nice and interesting. Guess they must have something pretty big in mind for another 26-ep season.
Edit: Oh right, they'd mentioned it'd be getting a full 26 for the new season before. Still, good news, looking forward to what they have planned.

Was hoping for Spring since the 26 episodes was confirmed earlier this year. The wait is going to be hard(especially for the english dub, right Funi?).

Second season for Fafner? Wow, I wouldn't have expected a ten-year old anime to get a continuation.

I liked the series and still need to take the wrapping off the BD of the Dead Aggressor movie sitting on my shelf (I plan on re-watching the series before watching the movie). I'm looking forward to the sequel series, but really wished the character designs didn't include the lines under the eyes. I assume they were meant to be some form of crude shading. Whatever their intent, I found them to be really distracting to the look of the characters.

I had heard about there being a planned sequel a year or two ago, but nice to see its finally happening.
I guess I'll have to get around to rewatching Fafner TV, Right of Left OVA, and the movie again before then.
