There's a lot of reactions of shock from Japanese people. I'm personally not familiar with the guy but what a tragic accident. =( May he R.I.P.

Just 3 years ago, my aunt died in a traffic accident. It was a horrible experience for my family and friends and myself because she had come to visit us for vacation and she was going to visit a relative and the next thing we knew, she was dead.

My condolences to their families and to all fans.

Dying in a road accident...one of the worst ways to die. Crying or Very sad

This sounds awful. I wonder if their seatbelts failed or if there are similar seatbelt laws in Japan like that have in the U.S.?

I've been told that in Japan they require people to wear seat belts but from what I've seen, not everyone does. Traffic rules seem to be very loosely enforced over here. People run reds ALL the time. One time there were TWO police cars, one each on a different side of the intersection and they didn't do a thing when a couple cars ran a red. The car even turned into the lane adjacent to the police car.......... I think you can tell how annoyed I am by this. I bike across this intersection every day and there are always at least 2-4 cars who run the red. ALWAYS. My record is 6 cars. It's crazy!

And don't get me started with how drivers don't know how to react when an emergency vehicle needs to get by. It takes them at least half a minute to let the ambulance go. The first cars always ignore it. -_-

Such a horrible tragedy. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt. I don't know if he was, but based on the description, it doesn't sound like it. I lost a former classmate recently in a car accident, and it WAS confirmed that she wasn't. Both of these have really convinced me to step it up, especially as I begin driving.

My thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends, and fans.

The Japanese article says "ruptured heart"....so...it was probably quick.

I feel numb. This is the worst news I've ever received concerning the entertainment world.

I was gonna mention this too, but yeah, such feels now. >_>

Now the voices of both of them can be together in spirit, just like as they are in the series, such ironic twists that makes sense in context. >_>

Sad I watched/played Inazuma a little...I don't think I've ever seen Hijikata. This is such nerve-wracking news.

Prayers sent to Japan and Saitou family.
