Well, that's too bad, because the reason I have not and will not buy a Vita is that it does not have video out capability like the PSP.
I am an older gamer with hands a bit worse for the wear (non-ergonomic keyboards in the early days of computer programing). I find it too painful to hold a console while playing, and my weak eyes aren't happy about looking at the small display while it's sitting on a table. |

That kinda sucks but at the same time I'm not surprised. If they ever bring it over here, I'd be interested in getting it.

Well that's terrible. It dosen't even make sense. Streaming top boxes are relativity popular here and well this is exactly the kind of thing that could do well here.
But it's a yet so it will probably change, but it shouldnt even be a yet. |

I agree. Everyone I know thought the idea was terrible until I explained it in terms they understand: This is an Apple TV that plays PS Vita cartridges and PSP/PS1 digital download games. Then everyone was ****ing bricks because they love the idea so much. It's like a $60 PS Vita... the controller can be used with your existing compatible electronics... it's just a solid product. |

This will definitely come here, Sony likely just needs to see how well it sells at home first before they can plan to expand the sales market.
Personally I'd rather have a cable add-on for a vita like the psp so I can have the option to take it on the go, even though it means more money, but since I don't have a commute where I can play portable games, the vita tv will likely be the vita I get. |

Do they not want to "dilute" demand for the PS4 by introducing 2 sony consoles in such succession?
Personally I think that this functionality should be included in the PS4. Also concerned about the hardware and price of this gizmo. Can it really play these games at 1080 (or higher) resolution @ 60+ minimum FPS? If it can play Vita games, then how can Sony justify the much higher cost of the Vita? |

I think the thought is the western release will happen at some point, but maybe they take a wait and see view first. |

Yeah I agree, it makes no sense. But if I recall correctly "there were no plans to price cut the vita in the west" up until recently (even though Japan got it first). Im sure its a matter of time because the system isn't doing too hot in the west either :S |
