Carl's opinions and grades are almost exactly the same as my own would have been.
Hmmm, this isn't the first time it's felt like he was reading my mind for a review. Wonder if he's "on the List?"

I love Kodocha and your review. Glad to know I'm not the only one who compulsively gets up to dance to the ending song.

I too have noticed this. It just means that we both have good taste, right?
Oh yeah, and what's "the List"? (sounds kind of ominous...)

As am I. It's normal, isn't it?

Episode 39 certainly was a sudden trip into pure WTF territory, but it was very Kodocha-like to have a massive revelation/cliffhanger and then spin off into a completely unrelated story. The two months between these volumes always seems like such a long time, and with the volumes in the double digits, the end of the second box and the halfway point seems so close. The technical side of Kodocha certainly shows its age (and intent to market merchandise to preteen girls), but that doesn't make it a worse series in my view. With all the hyperactivity and bittersweet tender moments, I'm looking forward to seeing Kodocha through to the end. And if I do, it'll be the second-longest series I've ever collected, next to Sailor Moon, and the longest complete series.
