I saw a list of the order to watch, read, and play .hack in ANN to follow the story, but I've looked and searched and I can't find it again.
I would really like to know, could someone please post a link to the article that had this infomation?
Thanks in advance,

I think the OVAs that comes with the game should be watch after beating the volume that came with it. Like at the end of Volume 2. Once you beat that volume and everything goes to heck, pop in the OVA and watch the effects in the real world. So, my order will be:
.hack//Sign
.hack with OVAs watching after finishing the disc.
.hack//Dusk (Manga/Anime)
Too bad CN didn't air Ep. 27 From what I remember, it was a basic, "Where are they now." type of epiode.

Well, the OAV that comes with the games has hints for the game. So you might want to watch it before you play.

I know it is out of order chronologically, but I say play at least .hack//infection before you see .hack//sign. At least the ending, though after watching the beginning of .hack//sign again (I saw the first half before I played the games) you get a much more personal sense of the world that um... The World is after playing the games and having been to the places that are being visited in the anime. Just little things that you would have completely ignored if you hadn't played the games suddenly have meaning. And the ending was so incredible in how they linked it with the games. Episode 26 was one of those "OH MY GOD!" mind-blowing events. All these things fell into place and I was just rendered near speechless by how it all fit.

I dont think so since they dont stand well on there own. Having watched some of them via fansubs then when I played the games and watched them agien it made alot more sense.

Not really. :\
And besides, CN can't air it yet since Bandai Ent hasn't released it yet.

They have yet to air the whole series on DVD (here in the States) yet it all of it has air, unless you mean that Ep. 27 and 28 was released in the past 2 to 3 months.
A side from that, I dropped by the Japanese .hack site and a pop-up meantion .hack//GIFT with goofy looking verison of the characters for the game. Since it was in Japanese, I have no clue it is all about, outside of the title that was in English. Anyone know about it?
