What are the Japanese scared of when they see uncensored genitals? I'm sure the general population would be perfectly fine with dicks and vaginas on the web. Also is it illegal to cross dress over there? Why did they confiscate the costumes?

They're not scared, it's just one of the stupid holdovers from the Imperial era that they've never bothered to change. I don't even know if there is any internal movement to remove genital censorship.

Yeah this shouldn't be illegal all, is he a consenting adult? Yes. Then fair dos to him, it's not like he's specifically send the videos to anyone underage full in the knowledge that they are underage. He's just uploaded them big deal. That law really needs changing.

The people that watched his videos where the people who specifically looked for them anyway. It's not like every Japanese that opened a web browser immediately had genitals thrown at their face. I'm not denying that there might have been a few... accidents though.

Since uncensored genitalia are illegal in Japan, and he used the costumes in the videos, they were likely seized as evidence. Like how they can seize a car that was used as an escape in a bank robbery. |

You can be arrested for the same thing here in the U.S., especially if the pictures were uploaded to a site that didn't have any adult content warnings.
Not to mention if you are local to the police discovery, you could be arrested under local obscenity laws. In general, obscenity and morality laws are catch all laws, whose ultimate interpretation will be in the hands of those prosecuting you. |

I have nothing to say regarding the cross dressing, I don't have the right to judge people based on their preferences. However, assuming this nude video wasn't on a porn site, I agree it's kind of creepy, considering his profession involves working with minors.

I am missing some context here, one can only assume he got arrested based on doing the flashing in public, yet different nations have different laws so a little more legal information is needed to know WHY the police arrested him besides a vague "it was obscene".
