Was on ign.com and found this little article about Bleach DS. http://ds.ign.com/articles/719/719319p1.html The author asks if the game is worth your money to import and goes into the basics of what Bleach DS is all about (modes, fighting system, online play). He gave it an "Absolutely"
With Bleach set to air in September on AS I think I'll wait a little longer to see if they bring it state-side. Any'ol'ways, good article. |

Yes, it is import-friendly. All DS games are region-less, and thus can be played in any DS. I have a friend who actually imported this very game.

If there is a Frys near you, they probably most definitly have Bleach DS. I dont know where you are located, but I do hope you are near one. They supply import games, in fact, I had just recently bought Jump Superstars from there and it is an amazing game.

Yes, but if you were to connect two games together, would they work? Not that I know of at this point unless somebody's tried it out for us..... |

If you can't find it at a local store, I recommend www.play-asia.com. Their prices may be a little high at times, though I haven't really shopped around, but I have ordered a few things from them and they are reliable.

I was just about to reccomend Play-Asia. They are by far one of the greatest, most legit sites out there that sell the original Japanese merchandise. Hell, you can even by Japanese candy and Ramen off of that site. They sell the original Japanese DVDs, but one problem is that I don't think they sell manga. For Japanese manga, I suggest Animaxis.com. Unfortunately, I don't see the DS game, but I do see Bleach mugs, action figures, posters, etc. It's a good site to complement Play-Asia. |

No, there is no release dates for any of the many Bleach games for the States. |

I got to play the game today at my local comic book store. My friend who works there had it in his DS and let me play it while he worked. Pretty cool game.
The Wi-Fi thing sealed the deal for me. If you ever get bored of facing the computer with their constant predictable moves, playing someone else can sometimes be a real challenge, specially fast little shrimp Yashiro(sp?) and other ¨broken¨ characters. If you can´t read Japanese, story mode will suck, but the menu screen is accessible to us English speaking people because an English voice, of obvious Japanese origin, reads the mode when highlighted. I´m thinking about importing this myself... but I think for now I´ll just play my friends copy and hope for a state-side release if Bleach becomes popular when it begins airing on Adult Swim. |

I've emailed my question to IGN (wait to see if they bring it to America now that the show will be on AS in Sept.) and the author of that article had this to say:

Since Sony (for the Playstation systems) and Sega (Nintendo systems) developed them, they can either give a company like D3 or Bandai Namco the nod to publish them or publish themselfs. But since neither one of the published game based on anime State side in recent history, it looks like import only or have another company publish it. It might be weeks or months before we hear anything about the game.
