Specifically Windows 8? Does that mean it will only work on 8 for no good reason what-so-ever? I assume not since I'm beta testing it on Windows 7. Sounds like MS is paying them to specifically say that

In this post on a Niconico Chokaigi 2 thread at SQUARE ENIX's FINAL FANTASY XIV, The Lodestone Forums, Rorn lists the Japanese voice actors known to be voice acting in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN and a few of the characters they play that have been revealed so far:
Rie Tanaka has been the Type 2 voice for the cat-like humanoid, female Miqo'te since the release of the original FINAL FANTASY XIV game in 2010. Rie Tanaka voices a couple of very different major characters in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN: the eternally young, female Elder Seedseer Kan-E-Senna; and Garuda, the savage female primal of the Ixal and one of the bosses in the game. Yuuichi Nakamura voices Thancred, a suave, smooth talking, skirt chasing, human-like male Hyur and a major character in the game. As mentioned in the article, Shinnosuke Tachibana voices Alphinaud, a young, elf-like, male Elezen and a new, major character in the game. Rikiya Koyama voices Cid nan Garlond, a male Hyur and a major character in the game. Akio Ootsuka voices Gaius van Baelsar, a male Hyur and and a major antagonist in the game. Miyuki Sawashiro voices Minfilia, a female Hyur and a major character in the game. |

It just means that it can work on a Windows 8 machine. It's worth noting since W8 is still relatively new. |

 maybe if one time payment i will play it.

Yes, there's monthly subscriptions to pay if you buy the game. But right now, there's an open beta up where you can play it for free. It's before the launch. If you want to try the game before its launch, then the open beta test is the perfect chance to do it.
