Its a news story saying that the earlier leak that the Gundam magazine was announcing a new series airing in 2014 turned out to be untrue.

This is an announcement that an announcement about an announcement was not a real announcement.

Still curious as to when we'll get some real news about this, I totally don't doubt they'll go the TV series route and make it an easy next series, but simple to consume movies make sense too.

There's an awful lot of it for that, isn't there? The manga's a revision of the original TV series and that was 43 episodes.

I prefer TV series to cover more of the manga. They can still do theater screening for every 4 eps as a movie like the Yamato remake.

So far, nobody said Gundam The Origin is NOT becoming an anime, but "it wasn't annouced yet".

I don't know about "false hope". What this means for me is that it's still an open question whether we see The Origin this year or the next. I had hopes for 2013 that were briefly done away with when that tidbit came along.

We still dont know if it will actually be TV series or OVA.And I would love to see it in TV series format.

Well 2014 will indeed be the release year for Origin anime, and the best part is that Shuuchi Ikeda will return as Char Smile
