As far as being available in the US, I know the "Cyborg Ninja" skin from MGS can be obtained via reservation at GameStop. I wonder if the rest will be available as DLC (though Cyborg Ninja is the only one I'm actually looking forward too, and I've already reserved my Limited Edition copy of the game )

Okay. I've always been a huge MGS fan, but... I just can't play games with such violence. Does anyone know if I can turn the blood white (like the Japanese version) or just turn it off? For some reason, just having so much red blood makes me feel sick inside. And I'd rather not be forced to cut people into thin slices... D:

Hmm. As someone who isn't fond of censorship in anime and games usually, I would usually pop up and say "Wait, you are still slicing people in halves at most with a single swing or removing limbs!!" and "Isn't it silly to remove what is already clearly there instead of getting to terms with the portrayal on the screen?"
I don't know if there are any features to tone down the violence short of importing the Japanese version on the PS3 (assuming it isn't region locked), perhaps the Xbox 360's Japanese version could be region free as well if you really want white blood.
One thing you could do in play is minimise your fights with living beings or cyborgs, there are points where you can choose to bypass them though once alerted you will often be locked into combat. Of course, you could sparing use the techniques and weapons as well...
Aside from running through a list of options regarding the game, I think you may just need to separate in game violence from the real thing some more... >_> How? I'm not really a psychologist. Perhaps experience some more media with bloody undertones, bloody comedy perhaps till this doesn't look so drastic? <_< Wait a minute, I said I wasn't going to be a internet psychologist.
Good luck anyway, hope you enjoy the next Metal Gear game which doesn't make you feel unwell. Perhaps the advice about playing differently and importing may work.

More like blame America/Gamestop.

Good news for Europeans I suppose. Otherwise, yeah, Gamestop strikes again.
