Awesome Trailer!
Looks like Monkey Punch recycled all of his Lupin characters and created their ancestors.

I hope it's not as disappointing as the past few Lupin III specials were.

It's too bad Monkey Punch suffers from the "only 6 faces" curse, but at least his writing always makes up for any character design shortcomings. I'd kinda like a Lupin III time travel story, though. I will definitely watch this series, however.

They've done it twice.
It was horrible both times.

In my opinion I think this is true and false, before Lupin III was created, ya it was "the curse" but now I think he does it more on purpose because people look at it and get the Lupin vibe, it's sort of his trademark look now, and its not a bad one.

One was Elusiveness of the Fog, which one was the second one?

In the first TV series. Elusiveness of the Fog is like a reimagining of it.

But they didn't actually go back in time they just tricked Mamou into thinking he did, but wait never mind Mamou actually time traveled so fair enough.
Oh and I just realized Roman is played as the guy who does Zoro from One Piece, that'll take so getting used to, with a Lupin look-alike not having Lupin's voice.
