So, there are two ways the Japanese Red Cross Society gonna use to collect blood from the donors:
1) The whole blood. 2) Massive nosebleed. I kid. I kid. :3 They will get free poster as well as some food and water. But, if they opt for posters with lewd/NSFW in nature those donors would be in centre for a while

400 ml is less than 0.85 of a pint, so unless it is normal in Japan to take smaller donations from people (possibly due to lower weight and blood volume), I don't see how anyone that completed their donation would fail to qualify.

In most countries the standard amount of blood taken during donation is about 450-500ml. I guess that they just doesn't count when it was interrupted- if you report that you felt sick after several ml, you aren't listed in database and can soon try again.

I'd give the blood if they promised to burn those posters in front of the others in a dazzling display of anti-moe sentiment.

In some countries the amount of blood to be donatedis calculated by weight. Belgium is one of them, Japan may be as well. Other countries/organisations have a set donation and minimum weight requirement. For instance, in the Netherlands the donation is always 500ml, but you have to weigh atleast 50kg to be a donor. Anyway, if it's the first case, that rule may be there to scare off the weaklings who don't have much blood to give and may pass out easily. Efficiency gives the best results, you know

Nothing for the lovely ladies of Comiket? Not that I don't enjoy some moe here and there (and those posters are adorable) but maybe a few bishonen posters would be a nice incentive. More blood, more help, right?

All joking aside, that is a very nice and neat way of getting more people to give blood. It would be interesting to see if something like this was done in the N.A. at conventions. |
