It's been a _long_ while since Viz Graphic Novels have released another manga volume of Patlabor in English. Do you think the series has been abandoned?
As long as 3x3 is still being released, I can stand it, but what are yourl opinions on this?

I thought it was abandoned several years ago. I bought Viz' original single-issue comics at the time. It just didn't sell well enough.
Sadly, Patlabor has never been as popular as it deserves to be.

CPM almost didn't release the anime on DVD because they didn't think there would be enough interest. They put out the first disc, and thankfully, enough people (myself included) bought it that they decided to relese the whole thing.

And, thinking about it, wouldn't the release of the anime be proof to Viz that there is interest in the series? Not that I would buy it since I'm still in my Viz boycott, but they released it even before dragonball became the anime fad, didn't they? The manga/anime market has changed drastically in the past few years, if they still have the rights, they should at least give it a chance.
