Ever since I heard about the game announcement, I thought it sounded like a perfect set up for an anime. And here we are!

NIS, Disgaea Team, Anime, Haruhi style art...... You know, this may turn out to be a pretty fun show. Deffinantly gonna keep my eye on it.

That's assuming Noizi Ito will be the character designer for the anime (she hasn't done anything for anime to this day - only VN and LN). She is for the game though which is one reason why I'd pick it up. |

Sounds good. I guess we can expect NISA to announce their release of both the game and the anime before too long. Project-D is expected to be another Disgaea game, crossing my fingers for something different like an action RPG or a fighter.

A fighter seriously? Disgaea is an rpg series, rpg as in tend to focus heavily on story and character development. Fighters, as in no story, nothing but pure gameplay. Persona Arena is bad idea already, I would hate to see another good rpg degenerate into a fighter. If anything several fighters like Blaz Blue and DarkStalkers would be better served as going to rpgs. And if you want an action rpg play a tales game, the series is just as good. Disgaea is a strategy rpg, just like how Halo is an fps; just look at how bad halo wars was when a major franchise tries to alter its core gameplay. |

Personally I'd be happy to see A Disgaea Fighter. Kicking butt as Etna would be pretty fun.

She is the original character designer (light novels), but she was not the character designer for the anime. According to the ANN Encyclopedia entry for Another, the character designer for the anime is listed as Yuriko Ishii. You can also tell just watching the anime and looking at her artwork that it's not the same. |
