Hmm, I've never seen that... And since the Code tag worked, you can't have disabled BBCode, weird.
*tries out for herself* [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Royale_(film)]sample text[/url] [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Royale_(film)[/url] and making sure HTML works: sample text *previews* Nope, not working for me, either, neither URL tag (at least the HTML does). I can't think of any of my older posts with URL tags over HTML, or I'd check to see if it's broken the links on older posts. |

It's the parenthesis. I have this problem when I try to link to threads from the Fandom Post, but all I usually have to do is remove them and still works. Take them out here you get the link, it just doesn't go to right place.
sample text Yea, trying to link to URLs that have parenthesis or a foreign language (linking to Amazon France or Japan is a bitch) doesn't work too well here. I wish tiny links were allowed to be used to work around it. |

phpBB2's URL tags suffer from a lot of problems that don't exist in phpBB3. I don't know if Derek's method was modded in by Dan to allow anchor tags, but phpBB3 certainly doesn't allow it.

You can urlencode the parenthesis as %28film%29
