I'm currently trying to update the index in the Top 10 best / top 5 worst anime (w/ index) thread and, sure enough, there's a username that's causing me grief: ?!?!?!
Yes, ?!?!?! is a username. When I try to create a url link to ?!?!?!'s post, the formatting for my post goes haywire. Using only the preview function I've been doing some experimenting and it's clear to me that ?! has some formatting function when used within BBcodes. Is there some code I can put around the username so that it ignores its formatting function? I hope that makes sense.

If I am understanding you correctly, (and I was just fiddling with tags too), you want ?!?!?!?! to appear as the hyperlink? normally you would type it like so:
[url=http://www.google.com]?!?!?!?![/url] This works:

Mixing up BBcode and HTML code does make the unformatted post look messy but, hey, it does the job.
