I just sort of forgot that Viz actually released anime titles that aren't Bleach, Naruto or Pokemon.

That's because they never do.

This is terrible news. If I'd been at that panel, I don't think I could have held back my "Noooo!" at the announcement.

Berserk Films Licensed already. HELL YEAH!! These will be day 1 purchases. Plus since they are Movies i feel comfortable we will get a dub. I wonder how much if any of the TV Series Cast they will get?

Would love at least Gutts (Marc Diraison) ,Griffith (Kevin Collins) and Caska (Carrie Keranen) to be the same but i admit im hoping for way too much here.

Send them an email or letter. If enough fans request an outsourced dub to NYAV Post it could happen.

Thank God that I live in San Francisco.

Since Viz Media licensed the movie, it's likely to be show on their New People Cinema. Nothing beats watching feature animation on a big screen.

I love the Berserk manga, but I didn't have a great deal of interest in this latest animated release. Because it's being handled by Viz for R1-land, I have even less interest now...

rockman: The point is they were saying it was going to be a new series, and they lied.

Great news. I just hope Viz doesn't butcher it with bad casting and slow release dates.

Best news all day. I hope the films are successful enough to encourage them to do a series.

1-The fact Viz licensed the film trilogy means Media Blasters must not be doing all too well & it would've been nice to have heard the original dub cast reprise their roles.

2-I'm also not necessarily surprised Viz licensed this because they are backed by Warner Bros in North America. And in Japan this film trilogy's also being released under Warner Bros

Nevermind. Seems he was asking for something else.

Since when has "anime project" automatically meant a full series? It could've just as easily meant an OAV series.

Again, you were talking out of your ass. Not insulting you or anything, everybody makes mistakes Smile

I'm quite pleased that at least someone picked up the licences for the three Berserk movies, and I don't have a problem with it being Viz. As long as there is a BD release with English dub, I'll be happy. I'm also pleased that Inuyash: The Final Act was picked up too, and that it will have a BD release.
